Who Am I

Just like any other boys at my home island, I inherit several nicknames like, Josh, Joscar so on and so forth. But that not all, at home, my parents  call me "Tukana" signifying where I inherit my name from. 

But my friends in school got another sets of nicknames just for the fun of it in the name of teasing  with labels like; brain box, nerd, Mr Know It All, Dux among others. 

So there goes the different names I inherit apart from the one registered in my Birth Certificate which is Josaia Tokoni.

Hi, my name is Josaia Tokoni, son of Eloni and Arieta Tokoni among my 3 sisters; Milika, Ulita and Lolive.

I am a proud island boy from Kadavu. Born and bred there before moving to Lau in my early age and back to Kadavu till completion of Form 6 from Kadavu Provincial Secondary School.

My Dad is a primary school teacher so constantly moving from school to school was part of my life since growing up. It would be lucky if we spent a full 3 years in a school before he is posted to another school.

My Mom is a committed house wife and mother managing our everyday life. She is normally the first one to wake up every morning and the last one to sleep at night.
